Isabel's program

The week before Thanksgiving Isabel had a big program at her school.  The 2nd graders performed lots of Thanksgiving and Veteran's Day songs and Isabel had a speaking part in between some of the songs.  Plus her cheer leading squad performed for everyone before the singing started so it was a pretty big night for her.  We think she did a great job cheering, singing and saying her part.  So proud of our girl!

She was super excited because she got to say "Ready!" to start the cheer

After a quick wardrobe change, she was ready to sing

gotta wave the flag while singing songs about America

She said, "I'm thankful for my school, my church, and cheerleading."

Party Dude

Last Saturday we celebrated Will's 6th birthday Ninja Turtle Style!  He invited some new friends from church and they all had a great time jumping and sliding at Pump It Up and then eating pizza and cake.  Will requested a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake this year and when we found a Ninja Turtle shirt and hoodie he just had to wear that to his party!  It was a great day.  Our little extrovert loved spending time with so many friends and family!

Will got so many great gifts! He got some fun ninja turtle toys, this flag football set, footballs and lots more!

2nd grade girls were ready to read his card to him but Will read it himself!!

He is loving ninja turtles this year

Gotta love living in town with all of your grandparents so they can all make it to the party!

I was a little concerned about what Will's party would be like this year since we just moved here a few months ago but it was perfect.  He has made so many sweet friends at church and school and he was so happy to have his cousins and grandparents there too!  God has definitely surrounded us with so many amazing people.  I am so thankful that my little man LOVED his party!  He was all about being celebrated and then ended the day with a huge Alabama win and a fun bonfire and hayride at some friends' house.

Veteran's Day

Isabel and Will were out of school on Veteran's Day and Josh took the day off of work so we decided to enjoy a fun day at the Botanical gardens. We knew the cold weather was coming so we wanted to enjoy being outside while we could. I didn't bring my camera but tried to get some decent iPhone pictures.

Josh and I recreating wedding pictures! Ha ha!!

Color Me Run

Last Saturday morning was probably the coldest morning we have had so far this fall.  It was also the morning of the OMES Color Me Run.  Isabel wanted nothing to do with this run but Will had talked about it for weeks.  Josh volunteered to run with him (not realizing it would be 35 degrees and that we forgot most of his long sleeved winter stuff back in Hendersonville).  It was a cold but quick 1 mile run and they both had a lot of fun.

Will and his daddy ready to run

Will's teacher, Mrs. Slovensky, was there to run too

Lots of color at the beginning of the run

Mid-run getting color

still running....those shirts aren't white anymore!

Halloween 2014

We had a great Halloween this year! It was a little cold and windy but nothing too terrible so we enjoyed being outside. We met Matt, Lauren and their 3 girls at Nana's house to do some trick-or-treating.  The cousins had a lot of fun being together as always.  Isabel LOVES being the oldest cousin and "taking care" of the younger ones and Will handles being the only boy really well!

Leonardo is the coolest!

I love these two!

Isabel spent most of the night holding their hands and she loved it!

"Trick or Treat!"

He's so tough!

He's all boy but so sweet too!

Isabel and Addy saying "cheese"

Why does this beautiful girl look like a teenager in this picture?

Gotta sort that candy!

I think Isabel loved passing out candy almost as much as getting her own.

"Can I just eat one more piece?"

Poor Will always has to take out all of the peanut candy.  We've been to the allergist recently and his numbers are low so we will do a food challenge soon.  Maybe next year he can eat this candy too!
