playdate in Huntsville

On Monday we drove to Huntsville to spend the day with my friend Kim and her precious kids, Thomas and Mae. Although there were some crazy moments with 4 kids 4 and under, we had so much fun. The weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time outside. Plus Kim and I even got to have a real conversation while Will and Mae took a nap and Isabel and Thomas watched a movie! It was a great day. I only wish we lived closer so we could do it more often.
Thomas and Isabel

Will and Mae coloring swinging and sliding was so much fun my little man is getting so big I love my sweet girl Any time Will plays football he asks for a helmet. We don't have one so he usually settles for any type of hat (usually his toboggan has to do). He was SO EXCITED that Thomas had a real helmet that he could wear. So excited that he refused to smile. I got this face instead!

Valentine's Day Dance

Isabel learned a cute little Valentine's Day dance and performed it for us with her dance class. It was so cute! We mainly videoed but took a few pictures too.
serious about her dancing!
"L is for the way you look at me..." beautiful arabesque
She loves her class and we are so proud of her. She is learning so much!

Babies in Birmingham

The kids and I made a quick trip to Birmingham over the weekend. I was helping to give a baby shower for one of my life-long best friends. Plus one of my best friends from college recently had a baby boy that I was dying to meet.
I have been friends with these girls for as long as I can remember. It was great getting to see them again. We have 6 children between us and 3 more on the way!

Angie and I have literally been friends since we were born. Our moms were friends and we lived a few houses apart. I cannot wait for her baby girl to get here!
Meet baby Timothy! Isn't he precious? I'm so glad he cooperated and came early so I would get a chance to meet him while we were in Birmingham
Of course we also got to spend time with family while in town. Isabel and Will loved playing with Avery. They chased each other around my mom's house for so long, laughing the whole time. As you can see, getting a picture of the three of them together is still pretty impossible. We can't wait to add baby A to this group in just a few weeks!!
Will had to get a little piano playing in while at Grams
We had to leave the basketball goal at home but don't worry, he made a new one within 5 minutes of getting to the house

snow day 754,207

We have had a lot of snow this year. Seriously. A LOT! Our county has had 14 snow days! The first one or two snows were fun but we quickly got over the excitement. Yes, snow is pretty and can be fun.......for about an hour or two. However snow also means no school, no church, cancelled dance classes and fun parties. We are definitely ready for spring around here. When it snowed last week I tried to remind myself that this better be the last snow for a while so we needed to get out and enjoy it.

Will would not stop walking. He thought it was so fun to walk around making footprints in the snow

Every time I see him in a hat I can't help but think about how much he HATED hats this time last year. Now he would wear one all the time if he could!

Sweet siblings...or just trying to stay warm?

I really hope these are our last snow pictures for at least 10 months. We are so excited about the 60 degree weather we are getting this week. Hello parks, playing outside and flip flops!! Good bye snow days, coats, and little socks constantly getting lost!

Party Time!!

This year we had Isabel's birthday party at My Gym. Isabel has been going there for about a year and absolutely loves it. I love it too! Since starting, she has become more coordinated, stronger, braver, more independent and more willing to try new things. The party was perfect!! I know there are a lot of pictures but you only turn 4 once!

Isabel's 4th Birthday

I still can't believe my baby girl is 4 years old!  She is getting so big! Since her birthday was on a Sunday this year, we pretty much celebrated all weekend.  She loved every minute of it!

Every birthday girl needs their fingernails and toenails painted purple, right?

Ready for presents!!

Yay!!  Isabel was so excited.  She will sit and play with these for hours!!

Ok this picture is hilarious to me.  She got this precious apron from Josh's grandparents and she was so excited about it.  She immediately put it on and of course I started to take her picture.  We could not figure out why she had her arms inside of the apron.  Finally she informed us that she needed to put her hands in the pockets.  The apron is reversible and the other side has pockets.  I guess Isabel felt you should be able to use the pockets regardless of the side showing!

Izzy being silly with Nana

We love new tag books....and of course it must be a princess or fancy nancy!

Will had a little bit of trouble understanding why all of the presents were for Isabel.  He and Josh decided to play with his new kazoos instead!

These pictures make me tear up every time.  When I was little I got one of these angels every year.  Now my mom gives one to Isabel each year.  I love seeing my daughter with something that was so special to me when I was growing up.  I love how special it is to her too.

Grams, Isabel and the 4 Angel

Isabel got a big princess dress-up set and immediately had to try some on.  She likes sleeping beauty the most but only because her dress is pink (seriously, could she be any more girly??)

Should I worry that Will loves to dress up like Snow White? :)  Won't this picture be fun to show off when he is a teenager?  ha ha!

We got Isabel a new "big girl" back pack this year.
