Thanksgiving and more

The past few days have been great. Although we didn't do anything too exciting for Thanksgiving this year, it was so special for our family. We have even more to be thankful for this year. God is so good and has blessed us in so many ways. I am so thankful for Josh who is not only my best friend and an amazing husband but also such a loving and involved daddy. I can't imagine raising 2 children without him. I am also so thankful for 2 healthy, happy and beautiful children. I am trying to make an effort to enjoy every day and every stage of life with them. We are also so thankful and appreciative of our family. Isabel and Will have such wonderful grandparents who are willing to sacrifice so much just to be with them and be a huge part of their lives. Even with a new baby in our house, Isabel hasn't been lacking for attention for one second with loving grandparents around her. My children also have great grandparents and tons of extended family that love them and pray for them daily. Isabel and Will are also loved by their Uncle Matt and Aunt Lauren who spoil them, play with them and are giving them a cousin in a few months. I could go on forever about things I have to be thankful for but I'll just stop and show you what you really want to see....more pictures! :)
William on the way to his first doctor's appointment. At only 6 days he was back to his birth weight so we are thankful for our good eater!

Going Home

We were finally able to leave the hospital Sunday afternoon. It is so nice to be home. Isabel was excited so see us but especially excited that baby brother got to come too. Now it is someone's full time job to distract her so that she says something other than "hold him...hold baby brother" over and over! Fortunately Will doesn't seem to mind being hugged and kissed and patted by his big sister. William didn't sleep quite as well last night but he is a happy baby most of the time and eating really well. We are tired but so happy!
Trying to get a picture of our family of 4. We took a lot of pictures and this was the best. We'll have to keep trying

This is what Will was supposed to wear home from the hospital. I was so excited about it because it is almost exactly what Isabel wore home but it has a blue ribbon. Apparently he didn't like it because he decided to pee all over himself and the doctor as she was doing her final exam before discharge. Boys!! :) Josh thinks he just didn't want to wear a "dress"

2nd day pictures

Here are some pictures from our second day with Will. He is precious and doing really well. Yesterday he decided to sleep most of the day but still slept last night too. If only that would continue!! I love just watching the faces that he makes and hearing his "squeaking." Isabel is still loving him. She is having fun with her grandparents but loves coming to see "baby bruda." She walks in the hospital room and immediately goes to him and asks to hold him. She doesn't care about leaving mommy and daddy but cries about leaving Will. I'm sure she will be annoyed with him soon enough so I'm just enjoying watching her love on him for now.

It's a Boy!!!

At 2:57pm William Alan Knierim was born here in Nashville. He is 7lbs. 13oz and 19.75 inches. As you will see from the pictures below, he is a precious little boy. The delivery went well, and mom and baby are both doing just fine.
As you can see Izzy is already obsessed with Will. She wanted to hold him the entire time she was here at the hospital. She also sang him happy birthday.

Halloween was a lot of fun this year although we had to make it a pretty low-key night. Josh, Isabel and I had all had colds so we weren't feeling our best. Plus my doctor told me 2 days before that I need to take it easy and included instructions NOT to walk all over the neighborhood on Halloween. We still managed to get some candy and have a good time. Isabel still was not 100% sure what was going on but she figured it out as the night went on. Some new friends invited us to go trick-or-treating with them. They have a 4 year old who already knew what to do so he tried to help Isabel. I don't know that she ever figured out why we were knocking on random people's doors but she definitely learned what candy is!
our cute little lady bug Isabel's first sucker ever.....she LOVED it "so this is candy they put in here?"
our family.... yes, that is Jesus behind us :)
"trick or treating is much more fun when daddy carries me"

Titans cheerleader

Last Monday night Josh and his dad got to go to the Titans football game. Although it was a little chilly, they enjoyed watching the Titans win over the Colts!! Isabel and I didn't get to go but we still had spirit. Isabel loves to yell "GO TISONS" anytime she sees football on the TV! Her daddy and Papa are so proud. :)
