Look what she can do now

I guess it is time for baby gates. Isabel has learned (with her daddy's help) how to crawl up our stairs. She was so proud of herself. She is still sick and has not been in a great mood for the past few days but crawling up the stairs over and over made her so happy!

Please excuse the runny nose!! I guess I should have wiped her nose before taking a picture.

Isabel saw her first snow on Saturday. Since it doesn't snow very often, we had to get out and "play" in the snow. I think Isabel was just wondering why we were staying outside when it was so cold!! She looks cute in her coat though!

The sad part is that Isabel started running a fever that afternoon and we are still dealing with it today! She has two top teeth coming in so it may just be teething. I have also been told that there is a fever virus going around. Either way, she has not been feeling well and doesn't want to do much but lay on her mommy and daddy. I miss my happy baby (who slept through the night!!) Hopefully she will feel better soon.

Playing with Daddy

Isabel loves crawling all over her daddy. She finds the most random ways to crawl on him and then lays down and pats his back. It is so cute and so funny. I'm constantly taking pictures so I had to share a few with you.

I have "patiently" been waiting for the day when Isabel can wear a bow in her hair. Her hair growth has been slow and no matter how much pink or purple I dress her in, people are constantly telling me how cute my little "boy" is! There is finally enough hair to hold the bow but I'm still not sure there is enough hair for the bow to actually look good. Oh well.....we will get there one day!
She wasn't sure she liked the bow at first.

New sitting position

Isabel has started sitting like this a lot lately and it makes me laugh. For some reason it makes her seem like a "big girl"

11 Months

Isabel is now 11 months old! One more month and my baby will be 1 year old. That is just so hard to believe. This has been a fun month with Isabel. I feel like she learns so much each day. Her communication has really improved recently. She just loves telling us what she wants! She now signs "more" "eat" "milk" and "book." She has added a few words to her vocabulary too. As soon as she wakes up from her nap she knows she gets a bottle so she says "boble" constantly until she gets it. We try hard not to say this word unless it is time for her to get one! Isabel also loves saying "uh oh" when she drops/throws something. Usually she will say it Before she throws something which gives us a warning! She is also saying "ni ni" (night night) when she get sleepy or is going to bed. I just love to hear her precious voice!! She is pulling up constantly now but can't get down. It is actually pretty funny....for us.

Playing with Nana's cats After almost 5 months of the army crawl, Isabel has decided to crawl on her hands and knees... sometimes. If she wants to get somewhere fast though, she still drops to her belly and does the army crawl.

Isabel is learning to use her sippy cup. She happily drinks water out of it but pushes it away and cries saying "boble" if I try to give her formula in the cup. I was hoping to stop the bottles and transition to only whole milk at one but Isabel doesn't seem to like this idea. We would gladly appreciate any advice or helpful suggestions on how to make this transition!
I just had to include a picture of Isabel playing with all of her Christmas toys. Our house is always a mess now but she loves it!!
