Fun fall pictures

I love that it is finally getting a little colder here. Isabel can wear her new fall/winter clothes. It makes me a little sad because they are size 12 months. She is so big!! Anyway, it was such a pretty day today so we took a bunch of pictures and I think they turned out well. She wasn't sure about the grass at first
Fortunately she stopped staring at it long enough to smile for a picture
I love the funny faces she makes!
So excited to be swinging

She is waving bye bye....not sure who she thinks is leaving but it's still cute

Pumpkin Patch

She was really into the hay more than smiling for the pictures

This is Izzy with her friend Brooks

I love that one little finger

She tried to eat this pumpkin about 30 seconds after I took the picture

Normal crawl??

After months of the army crawl, Isabel is finally getting up on her hands and knees. She will rock back and forth but when she sees something she wants, she drops on her belly and army crawls over to it. I don't know if she will ever crawl the "normal" way but she can definitely get to whatever she wants Very Quickly!!

weekend in Memphis

Last weekend we went to Memphis for my cousin's wedding. Isabel got to see a lot of family members that hadn't met her yet. She actually did well on the drive there and back although she didn't sleep too well in her pack-n-play in the hotel. She would wake up and see us and couldn't understand why she should go back to sleep by herself if we were right there. Family picture at the wedding
We tried hard to keep Isabel quiet but she is a talkative baby so it isn't easy. We even tried feeding her puffs but she would say "mmmmm" loudly each time she ate one. Finally Josh had to walk around with her far away from the ceremony!
Isabel and me and with my cousin Keri and her three girls. Isabel was trying hard to grab Lizzie's hair during the picture.
Isabel got to meet Uncle Drew while we were in Memphis. She also got to see her Aunt Sandra (but I forgot to take a picture). Aunt Sandra gave her a fun toy that sings nursery rhymes. Izzy loves it and laughs each time it sings but Josh and I are not loving the constant singing. I guess it is time to get ready for the loud toys!

Pumpkin pictures

Playing at Nana and Papa's house

After church we usually go to play at Josh's parents house. Isabel loves playing with the toys there because they are different from what she plays with every day. Of couse, her favorite toys are usually the cat toys...or the cats!

This is the face Isabel makes when she sees her daddy walking down the stairs. She gets so excited!! What a daddy's girl!

8 Months!!

I can't believe Isabel is 8 months old!! She talks constantly but refuses to say Mama so I hear Dada ALL DAY LONG!! She is still doing the army crawl but is getting faster and faster. She is learning plenty of new "tricks" and cracks us up with the crazy things she does. For example, this is the new face that Isabel thinks is fun to make. I think it has to do with her new tooth coming in.

Playing in her Papa's chair at church

My sweet girl fell asleep on the way home from church after a busy day!!

Mohawk

Isabel may not have enough hair for bows or pigtails yet......but at least she has enough hair for a mohawk!!

The wagon wheel

Today was an exciting day! We introduced Isabel to the wagon wheel. We started giving her the Gerber puffs a little while ago and she loves them. They helped keep her occupied while we ate dinner or tried to get something done but she can eat them quickly so you have to be sitting near her, ready to give her another as soon as the one in her mouth is gone. However, today at Walmart we bought the wagon wheel and I gave her one while I unloaded groceries. It was wonderful!! She can hold it herself and it takes a while to actually eat it. Some goes in her mouth, some doesn't but it isn't anywhere near as messy as those teething biscuits they have. All in all, I'm in love with the wagon wheel so of course I had to take pictures.
